Man With No Country

Like a man with no country
I stand in the wind
Not sure where to move
Even where to begin
In the dark shadow
Of a cold mountainside
I'm fighting a war
Only weapon my pride.

Pain is temporary
Pride is forever
Both roots are the same
A tremendous endevour
The past is a cage
And its prisoner your mind
But if you can't escape
You will be left behind.

The sins of mankind
Are believed to be gone
But their pain fuels the
Memories that we ride on
The things we have done
And what we've failed to do
Will always haunt us
Deep inside through and through.

The scars of a battle
Cannot be erased
The greatest war hero
Easily defaced
A hero is someone
Who doesn't back down
A man with no country
Who still stands his ground.
